FLAT CARVING vs. SHAPE CARVING

Monuments can be sandblasted with flat carvings or shaped carvings.  Flat carvings produce cut-lines consistent with the flat plane of the monument’s surface.  Shape carvings enhance the art component with a sculptured 3-D effect, creating depth and contours.

Not all designs can simply be shaped carved.  Some are designed for flat carving only.  However, our talented art team can create any design your family may desire, and assure the relevant components are condusive for a beautifully shaped carved memorial.
